East Art Map

http://www.eastartmap.org/

this is a really nice little interface of a map of a history of art in Eastern Europe from 1945-2004, it is broken down into country, artists, time period and movements. And it’s open access so one could submit artists to add or even suggest replacement artists, you have to submit an argument as to why… and then a panel reviews it. An entirely malleable history of art in Eastern Europe that is in support of connecting movements and idea flows of artists with their influence and the consequential networking of specific geographies.

‘history is not given, please help to construct it.’
